ASCEND is dedicated to developing and implementing health and wellness based programs in a cost effective manner to persons with progressive neurological disease. ASCEND’s holistic programming approach focuses on enhancing the quality of life of persons with progressive neurological disease by addressing the individual’s physical, cognitive, social, spiritual, vocational and emotional needs. In addition, ASCEND is committed to conducting and disseminating relevant practical clinical care information to family members, caregivers, and other healthcare providers.

Objectives for ASCEND, Inc:

ASCEND will strive to meet its mission by:

• promoting quality interdisciplinary team based care for persons with progressive neurological disease which is based on the stage of the disease process.
• providing an active healthcare professional student education and research program with various institutions of higher learning.
• conducting seminars for healthcare providers as well as attending local support groups.
• attending and participating in state and national conventions for progressive neurological disease, and healthcare professional conferences.
• submitting for publication to referred journals for critical review.
